For South African financial advisors

FAIS compliance you can evidence. Not just describe.

Complii takes the recurring compliance load off your desk — disclosures out to every client, internal policies kept current, every action on file. Your clients read, sign, and receive copies on their own time, from any device. The records you'll be asked for, ready when you're asked for them.

  • Clients sign from any device, no printing
  • Every acceptance permanently on record
  • Internal compliance documents versioned and audit-ready
  • FAIS, FICA, POPIA — and ready for COFI

What's in the platform

Keep documents current

Update your disclosures whenever your practice changes. Each version is preserved exactly as clients saw it — clients who signed the previous version stay correctly linked to what they actually agreed to.

A record you can rely on

When a client accepts a document, that record is locked — nothing changes it after the fact, including us. It shows who signed, which version, and when. Export the full list for your compliance officer at any time.

Internal compliance policies, kept in sync

Your Risk Management and Compliance Programme, conflicts policy, complaints procedure and the rest live in one versioned place — every revision dated, every approver on record, ready when the regulator asks.

Everything your team does, logged

Publishing a document, inviting a client, updating a role — logged automatically alongside your clients' actions, for five years. If the FSCA ever comes asking, it's all there, organised by client and date.

Clients are kept in the loop

When you publish a new document, clients are notified automatically by email and in-app. They choose how they want to hear from you. You're notified the moment they accept — no chasing.

Your brand, your portal

Upload your logo and set your firm's colours. Your clients see your brand throughout — not generic software. Run multiple FSP entities from one login, each with their own documents and client lists.

Built for what's coming

Compliance is getting more, not less.

The regulator's direction of travel is towards outcomes-based supervision, stricter FICA enforcement, and documented cybersecurity hygiene. Complii is built to take the day-to-day load off your desk — not to explain the rules, but to keep the records that show you followed them.

Coming

The COFI Bill

In Parliament 2026, with a ~3-year transition. Activity-based licensing and outcomes-based supervision replace the FAIS framework you know. Complii is shaped so the records you keep today still make sense after COFI lands.

Tightening

FICA after grey-listing

FIC Guidance Note 7A (February 2025), tighter beneficial-ownership rules, ongoing screening expectations. The recurring per-client load is bigger than it was three years ago — Complii is built so it runs in the background, not at month-end.

In effect

Cybersecurity Joint Standard

Joint Standard 2 of 2024 has been in force since 1 June 2025. Two-factor authentication is required for every admin sign-in. Sensitive fields like authenticator secrets are encrypted at rest.

If the FSCA ever comes calling

"We told them" isn't good enough. Complii gives you proof.

When a client accepts a document, Complii locks that record permanently — who the client is, what they signed, and when. Nothing can change it afterwards — not your team, not us.

Every action your team takes is automatically recorded alongside your clients' activity. If your disclosure history ever comes into question, everything is there — organised by client and date.

5 yr

Records are kept for five years — the minimum required — with no manual archiving needed.

0

Acceptance records that can be changed or removed after the fact. What your client signed stays on record.

4

Regulatory frameworks in scope — FAIS, FICA, POPIA, and the COFI Bill ahead.

2FA

Required for every admin sign-in — protects your practice and meets the cybersecurity standard for FSPs.

Your whole team, in one place

Invite your compliance officer, paraplanner, or practice manager. You decide who can publish documents and who can only view. When someone leaves, you remove their access immediately.

Export for your compliance officer

Filter your acceptance records by document, date, or client — then download a spreadsheet your compliance officer or external auditor can open directly.

See who actually read the document

Complii records when a client opens a document, not just when they sign. You can see whether a client read a document before accepting — useful context if a question ever comes up later.

For your clients

Simple for your clients — no matter how tech-savvy they are.

Your clients get a clear list of what they need to review. They can read each document at their own pace — on a phone, tablet, or computer — step away and come back, and sign without printing a thing. Once they've signed, they keep a copy in their account forever.
